‘Defending Digga D’ Director Marian Mohamed Wins The Emerging Talent: Factual BAFTA

Marian Mohammed can now add BAFTA award winner to her CV after scooping the Emerging Talent: Factual BAFTA award.

The BBC Three documentary about South London Rapper Digga D, beat out other nominees Ashley Francis-Roy for ‘Damilola: The Boy Next Door & The Real Eastenders’, as well as Jessica Kelly for ‘The Schools that Chain Boys’ and Kandise Abiola for ‘Terms & Conditions: A UK Drill Story’ to win the inaugural BAFTA for the category.

In an acceptance speech posted on social media she thanked the BBC for kickstarting her directing career, as well as her team, Mixtape Madness and her other collaborators.
