8 people have been confirmed dead, with multiple injured I’m in a mass casualty event at the AstroWorld Festival in Houston’s NRG Park.
The annual live music event hosted by Houston native & rapper Travis Scott turned fatal at around 9 p.m. when crowds “began to compress” to the front of the stage, causing panic and some people to get hurt, Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña told reporters early Saturday.
Authorities stated at least 11 people were rushed to hospital suffering from cardiac arrest with a further 300 or som treated on the field.
