Australian Rap protege Day1 has unveiled his latest single, ‘Southside Dilla’ accompanied by a music video shot in Paris and directed by Jack Billiau. The rapper is becoming a breakout international star and is certainly flying the flag for his home country as he looks to take over this hemisphere.

‘Southside Dilla’ is produced by Slim Typical, a duo from England who have previously worked with the likes of M24 and Rudimental. Day1 shows poise and a variety of flows across the track, whilst also managing to experiment with melody.

The rapper started making waves over in the UK after his ‘Me, Myself and I’ single which dropped last year. Since then, he has collaborated with Jay1 and Gambino La MG on the international remix of his track, ‘Mbappé’, showing that there is a real chance that Day1 can become one of the first Australian rappers to garner major international success.
