South London’s Curtis J has landed with a new release titled ‘The Man’ and has coupled the unconventional nature of this track with innovative visuals.

The sonic compositions used in this banger are energetic, upbeat and characterised by a mid-tempo. There is a strong influence of Afro-Swing elements, but given the refreshing production style being used, it hints at a more hybridised and unusual format of this genre.

‘The Man‘s aesthetic portrayal is equally expressive as it pictures the artist and his associates vibing out to the track, whilst simultaneously communicating an underlying political message that doesn’t stand for the existence of SWAT teams targetting the black youth.
