With 20 years in the game, Chase & Status are heavyweights of the UK and the International scene, and today marks the release of arguably the hottest drum and bass record to come out all year year. Linking up with Manchester’s in demand DnB artist Bou as well as Irah, Flowdan, Trigga and Takura – new heater ‘Baddadan’ is for sure one of the most highly anticipated tracks this year.
With the track having done rounds on social media over the past month, last night saw a launch party held to celebrate the release of the single at London’s new LDN EST venue. The event saw Chase and Status go back to back with Bou for 2 hours providing a sell out audience with some of the grittiest jungle and mesmerising drum and bass in a perfectly intimate setting. ‘Badaddan’ draws elements from the very best of jungle and DnB combining heavy bass and drums with acidy synths and infatuating vocals – creating the perfect rave track.
With the new track looking set to provide soundtrack to the second half of festival season, it was only right they marked the occasion with such an event – the response already has been remarkable. This release is one for the history books.
