Rising British rapper, Macca Wiles releases the riveting trap rock track Outlined.
Produced by Matt Schwartz (Yungblud, M.O., Massive Attack, Halsey) – Outlined showcases Macca’s effortless ability to infuse the stylistic elements of rap, trap and rock to create a powerful, distinctive sound and style. The self-written track highlights Wiles’ raw, distinctive rap flow and is lyrically influenced by his experience of being addicted to codeine and promethazine, battling his demons and seeking relief. On Outlined, Macca says: “We’re best at hurting ourselves, even when it doesn’t show.”
Directed by LA based Jori Teplitzky (Steve Aoki, James Arthur, Cheat Codes) – the epic video was filmed in the empty streets of London with just Macca and videographer, Duncan Smith (GQ, Tinie Tempah). Wiles elaborates: “Making the video was a difficult task; this song is personal, and I wanted the video to feel so too so I actually edited it myself. Once I had the frames where I wanted them, I sent it off to Jori so she could source special FX and colour grading and boom, we’re here. Duncan captured some great moments and even though its not the usual routine & process for shooting a music video it came out great.”
