[NEW VIDEO] Coco – Big Bou Yah [REMIX] [@TheCocoUK]

a.k.e

AKE (often stylised as a.k.e; abbreviated as attack.kill.everything) is an English music producer, songwriter, entrepreneur, writer and fashion designer from Islington, North London. A.K.E started out making experimental beats influenced by grime, R&B/Soul, hip-hop, electronic music and later started adding his own raw yet poetic vocals. And has recently worked with artists/songwriters and producers such as Gain Ctrl founder Semothy Jones and upcoming artist Eduard Mullisi. Outside of recording and producing A.K.E is also currently working with companies such as Mixtape Madness and Radar Radio. He's also the founder and creative director of streetwear clothing company GOOF™ (Get Out Or Fight). His future goal is to become a pioneer in the creative industry by developing a brand new different sound and inspiring new upcoming creators in the world. You can hear his music on soundcloud.com/attackkilleverything. And also follow him on Instagram & Twitter @akeemmush.

He came, he smashed it, he conquered! Coco mashes it up on this Toddla T, bass driven beat, boasting an insanely tight flow with a refreshing Sheffield twang.

Big Bou Yah comes as the follow up to debut single ‘Target Practice’, released via Girls Music in July, which earned Coco serious recognition. Tastemaker music site Earmilk premiered the audio, GRM Daily scooped the video, while Radio 1 DJ’s Mistajam, Phil Taggart and Target jumped on the track to become some of the first in a long list to play it to the good people of the nation.

Now the video to “Big Bou Yah” arrives fresh via SBTV and shows Coco in his Steel City town of Sheffield in a natural setting, allowing the lyrics and production to take the lead. Coco shows off his steezy style and fierce attitude in this brand new, fresh video

The Sheffield native recently shut s*@t down at Notting Hill Carnival on the Toddla T Sound system alongside Sean Paul, Julio Bashmore, Lady Leshurr and more, plus earlier in the Summer, Coco made his debut on the white isle as he played Ibiza Rocks! Skip back to the start of the year and you can also catch his freestyle ‘pon the radio waves of Radio 1/1Xtra too:

Turn up the speakers as the kicks and snares start popping on this dub offering with a twinkling of the reggae roots, and check out Coco skipping across the verses, switching up the pace on this, well deserved, braggadocios introduction to himself.

It was Charlie Sloth’s Record Of The Week on 1Xtra, and has seen a whole host of DJ’s playing the record such as 1Xtra’s Target, Mistajam and Semtex and Radio 1’s Phil Taggart. Now the Radio 1 breakfast show DJ Nick Grimshaw has also come on board to support this track tweeting “Big Bou Yah” on Nov 2nd and playing it on the show too!

Complex UK named him as one of “15 Grime MC’s Outside Of London That You Need To Know Today” , cementing the fact his name has been widespread this year.
