Manchester born, London based deep-pop artist Rahh has returned with her brand new euphoric single and accompanying visuals titled, Overkill.

A reworking of one of her earliest tracks, Overkill is the perfect sonic soiree for summer. Enriched with blissful lo-fi stylings that burst into shimmering and driving tropical house beats; Rahh’s exasperates her frustrations and desire for freedom through her stunning vocal prowess.

Speaking on the release, Rahh commented; “I wrote ‘Overkill’ when I lived in the Northern Quarter in Manchester. I was arguing with my boyfriend, getting frustrated with my label at the time and the weather was shitty. I was just a bit over it all, and I was feeling like I wanted to go out to a rave, or somewhere underground and authentically cool. Somewhere I could just let go, on my own and get lost in the atmosphere and the music.”

The compelling visuals filmed by director Sam Kinsella in lockdown, toy with the track’s lyrics and how club culture might evolve because of the current pandemic. Shot entirely in her own flat, the video sees Rahh transform the mundanity of everyday life and lockdown into a kaleidoscopic rave. Explaining the concept she says, “I wanted the current situation to play a part, and I thought about a Black Mirror twist on what was happening and how we might find ways to still go out and party if we were to be indefinitely stuck in lockdown. I came up with the idea of visiting a club through VR contact lenses at my flat on my own – including pranging out in the bathroom and a heavy hangover! Corona definitely presented a strange circumstance to shoot a music video.”
