Yesterday, Lil Baby surprised fans with “The Bigger Picture,” his newest song.
Tapping production from Section 8 and Noah, the track commences with melancholy key strokes, a snippet lifted from an media outlet sharing news of the Minneapolis protest. Layered with it’s attendees chants, as they took to the streets in solidarity.
Clocking in at just over four minutes, the rapper starts to unpack his thoughts on the racial pandemic, while simultaneously demanding justice for the countless lives taken at the hands of police brutality.
Lil Baby took to Instagram to declare that all proceeds from “The Bigger Picture” will go to The National Association of Black Journalists, the attorney of Breonna Taylor, The Bail Project, and Black Lives Matter.
