Following on from his warm January debut Fly Away, Javan returns with his much-anticipated second single Not The Same.

Not The Same shows impeccable growth from Javan, with the lyrics reminiscent of his upbringing, while at the same time, shedding light on family, friends and money. Javan spoke on the importance of the track, stating “I was tired of people comparing me to others, [and] wanted to make a song about my success and my individuality”. Citing the lyrics of Not The Same, he furthers the comment by saying “there are a lot of fake people in the world,” and not being one of them, which we hear him rap about over the KatmanDu production.
