He shut down his sets on the nationwide Bugzy Malone tour, ‘Obviously’ is the brash and brazen new hitter from Izzie Gibbs.
The first record to be taken from his forthcoming ‘96Ls’ EP, Izzie displays authoritative lyricism alongside cheeky stand out bars and a mischievous intro that captures the size of character the Northampton native possesses. Dubstep pioneer Trolley Snatcha is on the buttons and the ominous vibes flow-a-plenty with a dirty bassline trudging through the depths of the tune to whip up a monster finish to what has been a big year for Izzie Gibbs.
Rewind to the start of 2017 and Izzie kicked off the year freshly crowned as ‘Best Newcomer by the Urban Music Awards. He then started to pepper the net with unstoppable lyrics, popping up with freestyles, videos and radio playbacks, (that have since awarded him in millions of views), before launching in to his campaign for the release of the Yin Yang EP. The year caught him barring next to Stormzy, Jaykae and Dapz on the Map on the Rinse Grime show , feature on Kamakaze’s Pull Up remix, drop two dope freestyles and have an official co-sign from Big Mike himself, aka Stormzy, as one to watch! His two singles, ‘Chillin’ featuring Donae’O and ‘OK’ grabbed him attention that would see him to go on and perform for Relentless at Reading & Leeds, whilst his mixtape featured a plethora of sick individuals including label mates Big Narstie & Tremz and also Young T & Bugsey.
Making an equally marked exit from 2017 as his entrance, Izzie Gibbs continues to ensure all eyes are firmly set on what is Obviously going to be a fruitful career for the young star.
