Straight out of the midlands, Birmingham Grime producer Filthy Gears teams up with P Money’s ‘Mandem Worldwide Records’ to make a weighty debut from the label with the ‘Filthy Gears’ album.
‘See Us MC,’ the first single to drop off of the forthcoming album sees an all-star line up of two different and hardest Grime crews, West London’s MTP and Camden’s YGG. The OG veteran P Money handles the chorus, allowing the younger crews to spit their fire over a ghostly beat that fits the Halloween feel perfectly. It’s gritty and sets the pace for what to expect from the rest of the album.
Drawing on the darker side of Grime, Filthy Gears is an alchemist of the genre. His combination of different elements from Hip-Hop, Jungle and Garage make for a unique spin on the raw and energy-laden sound that is prevalent across the 18-track release.
