Rising UK artist Cat Burns has released a brand new compelling track I Don’t Blame You with accompanying visuals.
Hailing from South London, 19 year-old Cat Burns unveils her vulnerable side as she opens up about the strained relationship between her and her Father in the past and now being able to forgive. Produced by Owen Cutts (Stormzy), the maturity in Cat’s vocals and lyricism shines through the beat. Visually, the video is directed and co-produced by Rich Power, capturing Cat’s words perfectly the video is just as touching.
Speaking on the single, Cat commented “Learning how to forgive will be the best thing you ever do in life, I Don’t Blame You’ is about my childhood and the strained relationship with my Dad. I had a lot of resentment mixed with anger and hurt. I found that it was stunting my mental growth and emotional maturity. I needed a way to say exactly what I was thinking to him in an honest yet vulnerable way. This song is my way of healing, and I hope it can help others who are in similar situations find peace within their own lives & relationships.”
