To celebrate the 30th anniversary of A Bathing Ape, the brand returned to New York for the BAPE Heads show, which showcased over 100 looks from the label. A Bathing Ape have been pioneers in streetwear culture, while the show at Manhattan’s Terminal 5 venue guided attendees through the three decades of the brand.
The collection also saw pieces from BAPE’s sub brands, including AAPE, BAPE BLACK®, BAPY® and APEE. There was also a preview of BAPE’s Fall/Winter collection, with a focus on three key themes: “SPORT MANIA,” “COLLEGE CLASSIC,” and “DENIM PAINTER.”
The event saw plenty of stars in attendance, as well as a performance from Lil Baby, one of US Rap’s heavyweights. There were also performances from two of the leaders in a new wave of female Rap coming in the shape of Coi Leray and Lola Brooke. Elsewhere, the likes of Madeline Argy, Mia Khalifa, Lil Tecca, M Huncho and Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown were also in attendance to commemorate 30 years of brilliance from the Japanes brand.
