Tuesday 10th May, the long awaited and postponed Section Boyz show finally took place at Koko in Camden, London. It was the second London show as part of their ‘#SECTIONED’ UK tour which had previously been postponed in April due to unforeseen circumstances.
The night started off with Stormzy’s young and official DJ, DJ Tiiny playing a set to get the crowd amped up. Playing classic grime songs such as Aggro’s Free Yard and the legendary Pow 2004 by Lethal Bizzle, it seemed that the spectators were hyped enough for the South London natives. But this was far from what Section Boyz wanted the crowd to be feeling. Shorty Bless then touched the stage to DJ for opening act TE dness. To continue the built up energy, Section Boyz’s official DJ, DJ Grevious played more tunes such as ‘Panda by Desiigner’, ‘Let’s Lurk by 67’ and much much more to prepare the stage for the main act. Section Boyz emerged performing a crowd favourite ‘Mad Man Ting’. But with the previous London show providing a guest appearance from Drake and Skepta, this expectation was met again when special guests Krept & Konan and Stormzy came out to perform ‘Don’t Waste My Time’ and ‘Shut Up’ respectively.
Tuesday night also marked the debut of member Swift performing his new song ‘Eye for Eye 2’.
All in all, it was another successful performance for the South London crew and allowed them to live up to the expectation of an unforgettable night from them…especially with being sprayed with a water gun throughout the show.
