Launched in 2021, #YoutubeBlack Voices Music Class is an initiative that is committed to providing rising black artists and songwriters with resources that can help them propel on the platform. Featuring seven artists, producers, and songwriters from the UK and providing over 50 creators with partner support and further funding. The initiative has an ethos of celebrating the influence and innovation that black culture has had on every music genre and helping a new wave of talent reach their potential.
The seven receivers are Unknown T, Carla Marie, Honey Dijon, Jin Jin, Julys, Kali Claire, and Nova Twins. Each is partnered with support and seed funding to advance the development of their channels by participating in training and networking programs focused on production, fan engagement, and well-being.
