An XL Bully is set to be put down after it attacked its owner while he was having sex.
Scott Thurston, 32, was attacked by his 2-year-old pet Hank at his home in Glanaman, Carmarthenshire, on 2 August.
His partner Leanne Bell reportedly called police to Jones Terrace in the early hours of the morning to report the attack.
Prior to the dog attacking and biting Mr Thurston the couple had reportedly got into an argument before intercourse.
Suffering bites to his forearm and chin Thurston managed to contain the dog downstairs, refusing the offer of an ambulance.
On police bodycam footage Ms Bell was heard telling two police officers: “I’ve got four kids, I love the dog, but I can’t have him around my kids.”
Llanelli Magistrates said the Bully “could not be safely returned” and then served the couple with order for £800 in costs to destroy the canine.
Frederick Lewendon, for the police, said there was “a real potential for the incident to be far worse”.
He added: “Next time it might not be a small bite to him, it might be to one of the children.”
