The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan has established a new ‘London Needs You Alive’ campaign to help tackle knife crime in London.
“Proud to launch my new knife crime prevention campaign today. We want young Londoners to see how incredible they are and to know they are the future of this city. They shouldn’t put their lives at risk by carrying a knife #LondonNeedsYouAlive #LNYA” – said Sadiq.

The campaign started yesterday morning (Wednesday 15th November 2017) on social media, with posts under the hashtags #LondonNeedsYouAlive and #LYNA.
The campaign has been received so well by various artists and personnels from the scene, who has been sharing the movement.
Amongst the artists supporting the movement is ‘Bestie’ hitmaker and South London rapper Yungen, who took to his social media to share the movement.
