Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan are teaming up for the ‘I Am Legend’ sequel.
In a instagram post Smith teased the upcoming film, with a picture of a deserted New York street, only tagging Jordan in the caption.
The original followed U.S. Army virologist LTC Robert Neville, the sole survivor in New York City trying to find a cure after a genetically engineered cancer cure either killed or turned 99 percent of all people into cannibalistic mutants called Darkseekers.
The massive 2007 post-apocalyptic blockbuster grossed $256.4 million domestically and $585.4 million worldwide.
The news breaking unfortunately didn’t include any details on the sequels plot. However what we do know is that Oscar winner and producer Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the Richard Matheson 1954 novel, is returning to write the follow-up.
Both Smith and Jordan will also serve as producers for the film.
