Jorja Smith has won the Brits Critics’ Choice award, beating the Stefflon Don and Mabel to the prestigious award which means she is the one to watch next year.
Still only 20-year-old, the RnB singer who comes from Walsall was over the moon following the win but still remained humble.

The Brits Critics’ Choice award, recognises “the future stars of British recording talent” and has previously been won by the likes of Adele, Emeli Sande, Rag N Bone Man, Same Smith, James Bay, Jack Garratt and more.
The Critics’ Choice prize is the first accolade to be announced before the official Brit Awards ceremony, which will take place at London’s O2 Arena on 21 February, 2018.
Speaking with Luke Franks in an interview with Brits, the Teenage Fantasy singer revealed her plans for 2018 and putting out an album is one of her plans.
“I’m going to put out an album in 2018 and that’s just like a bunch of songs that i have recorded from 17 to 19 (years old). Lots more videos, more shows and I have a UK Tour in February”
