U.K. grime legend, Dizzee Rascal, has stirred up quite a conversation after appearing on Good Morning Britain, this morning.
As a ‘high-profile black man in the U.K.’, Piers asked the British MC to explain the Black Lives Matter movement to viewers to which the rapper refused. Dizzee maintained that he was a guest on Good Morning Britain to promote his drive-in and forthcoming album.
Though a harmless question to some, it is worth acknowledging that black artists cannot always be appointed as the spokesperson for black issues. Instead, there are well-equipped black figures in Britain who have the range to break down and explain such matters to predominantly white audiences.
