Chic-fil-a will try to crack the UK market again announcing that they will be returning to our shores on a permanent basis.
The US chain known for their fried chicken sandwiches and waffle cut fries will open the first of it’s 5 planned UK locations in early 2025.
Despite no specific location being given this UK expansion will mark the first permanent store outside of North America.
The firm first entered the UK market in 2019 but was met with backlash over controversial support of anti-LGBTQ groups as well as the views of members of the Cathy family who founded and still run the chain.
Chief International Officer Anita Costello said in a statement: “We are excited our restaurants will bring new jobs and opportunities throughout the UK. Serving communities is at the heart of everything we do at Chick-fil-A, and our unique local owner-operator model provides one of a kind access to entrepreneurial opportunities,”
“We look forward to sharing our authentic Chick-fil-A experience: providing fresh food prepared with high-quality ingredients, served with our signature hospitality.”
