Party goers set to flock to the Algarve for the biggest urban music beach festival in Europe.
Taking place across 1st-4th August in the sun-soaked setting of Portugal’s Algarve region, Afro Nationannounces the sensational second wave line up for its inaugural event celebrating all things afrobeats, hip-hop, UK rap, reggae and dancehall. Tickets sold out for the festival in a matter of weeks but fans now have another chance to snap up a place to party on the golden sands of Portimao with the launch of its resale campaign.
With the likes of afrobeats royalty Wizkid, Burna Boy and Davido already announced, the second phase sees British-Nigerian talent Femi Kuti, eldest son of original afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti join the all-star billing. A hugely talented artist in his own right, the Positive Force founder will be joined in Portugal by prolific dancehall reggae artist, Busy Signal as well as BBC Sound of 2019 winner Octavian, who recently released his single ‘BET’ featuring Skepta. Collective NSG – whos song ‘Option’ has triggered a viral dance craze amongst fans – South African duo Distruction Boyz and LLE artist, King Promise are also enlisted to play out under the Algarve sunshine. This latest reveal of talent is rounded off with eagerly anticipated performances from Nigerian singer-songwriter Teni and Tanzinain Bongo Flava sensation, Vanessa Mdee.
Limited tickets are available and a further two waves of talent as well as boat parties are still to be unveiled. Afro Nation’s debut is set to cement its place as a unique and trailblazing player within the international festival market.
