The saying ‘never judge a book by its cover’ will continue to surprise us everyday because when it comes to artist Chockz that is exactly what I did. I saw the ‘Rick Ross beard’ and immediately jumped the gun and expected to hear another ‘road rapper’ – whom don’t get me wrong I love but I was just thrown a little to hear a ‘Drake’ instead of a ‘Meek Mill’ if you catch my drift. This East London rapper is lucky to be blessed with not one but two abilities; to spit a verse but as well as harmonise without the need of an autotuning device which can be said is not too common in the scene right now.
This track Worldwide has an engaging old skool Hip – Hop beat which immediately had me doing the two – step and clicking my fingers to. This vibe allowed the chorus to be deemed as ‘catchy’ which leaves an inprint of the words in your head as you finishing listening to it. Content wise Chockz keeps it subtle and entertaining, he just merely expresses to us what he wants to do as a Rapper and that’s take his music to new heights – Worldwide.
