Drake has spent a special six weeks at number one, topping the UK, Canadian and Billboard charts with his track ‘One Dance’ featuring British singer Kyla.

Kyla a housewife and mum from Huntingdon, UK was surprised with a feature from Drake, seven years after releasing her UK club classic, ‘Do you mind’ under Defenders Ent and Northern Line records.

Written by Kyla and her now husband Errol aka Paleface ‘Do you mind’ was remixed by Crazy Cousinz in 2009 and spearheaded the rise and popularity of UK Funky House.

It has been assumed that Drake may have come across ‘Do you mind’ on one of his many trips to the UK – or whilst hanging out with UK grime collective Boy Better Know and its leaders Skepta and JME. With much speculation around his album ‘Views’ – Drake decided to sample Kyla’s ’Do you mind’ for his song ‘One Dance’ – he later on decided to feature the UK singer; changing her life in an instant.

Being featured on ‘One Dance’ makes Kyla the first woman to hold the UK official chart number one in 2016 and also secured Drakes first ever UK, Canadian and USA number one.

It has been six weeks since the world was introduced to Kyla’s voice – One Dance has given her the opportunity to stun the world with her catalogue of music that sits in-between R&B, Soul, Jazz and Pop genres.

Having sung across different genres throughout her early career, Kyla will now be releasing music to a world that knows’ her name – that is now ready for her eclectic tone, versatile sound and world class character.

A humbling opportunity yet a dream come true. Kyla has become an inspiration to all ages, genders and races – because no matter what, everyone has a dream – her dreams came true in One Dance, and now she is Britain’s Number One.
