Fast rising R&B singer Rebecca Garton has returned her newest EP titled Take Me Home.
Spreading a pool of influences – ranging from R&B, Pop to Afrobeats – across seven sumptuous tracks.
The Ghanaian-Nigerian star explores several heartbreaks she has endured over the last few years; including the passing of her beloved Father, who always encouraged and supported her music career. In addition to delving into ideas such as women empowerment and worth.
On the production end, the Garton brings her musical palette to fruition by striking up partnerships with various producers and artists; such as FireBoy DML, Jeremih, Louis Rei, Ling Hussle and more amazing songstresses!
Talking about the EP Garton says, “Culture and where I’m from plays a massive part,” she explains. “Even down to drum patterns or certain words, I may use African language or context to say certain things. It’s something I’m very proud of, as much as I’m British and my dad was English, the African part of me is such a big part of my life, it’s really who I am down to my core. It’s important that people understand that.”
