One of the most exciting young talents to come out of the UK in recent years, Proph has returned from hiatus to deliver his latest single, ‘In Da House’. The track follows his recent ‘Rap’s Dead Freestyle’, as well as his debut EP ‘Lost In Translation’ which dropped earlier this year.
Blessed with a unique talent for both production and lyricism, Proph gives us a nostalgic feel on ‘In Da House’ which is backed up by the Mark Jones directed visual which accompanies the release. There are clear influences from US Hip-Hop when it comes to the instrumental style, with Proph citing Nas and Lauryn Hill as key inspirations.
‘Lost In Translation’ saw Proph announce himself as an artist to be reckoned with going forward, and has recently received co-signs from the likes of Wretch 32 and Potter Payper, as well as joining studio sessions with Jim Legxacy, TSB, and emil. There is no doubt that Proph can become one of the greats of his generation through his lyrical talent alone, but his ability in terms of production make him an outstanding prospect within the world of UK Rap and beyond.
