Jamaican Dancehall artist Projexx has called upon Marksman and UK Rap legend Giggs for his latest single, ‘Top Speed’. Accompanied by a visual directed by Jamaica native 300K, the bass-led instrumental gives each artist a perfect jumping off point to showcase their respective talents.
Projexx kicks off proceedings with a soft spoken hook and verse, leading into Giggs’ cameo that does not disappoint. The track is then wrapped up with an appearance from Marksman, who closes out the single with a smooth verse.
Speaking on the track, Projexx states:
“I wanted to produce something different and unusual, so I was in the studio experimenting with Nate and Tyree when they came up with the beat. I was freestyling until I found the first line ‘Bimma inna top speed.’ I hit up Marksman on IG and told him he’d be dope on the song, so I flew to Jamaica to shoot the video with him, and that’s when Giggs sent his verse and the rest is history.”
This single marks the first of the year for Projexx as he gears up to release a longer body of work. Already an established name within the Dancehall genre, the future is set to look even brighter for Projexx if he can continue to deliver such a strong output.
