Following a four year hiatus, the North London duo OthaSoul (Louis VI and Dozer Carter) announce their highly anticipated return with new single That Mood.
An infectious pairing of experimental hip-hop, funk, soul with an electronic groove, OthaSoul don’t shy away from real talk. With raw and candid storytelling through their Kentish Town-tinted lenses of London, this track is about self-love, self-esteem and joy.
Speaking on That Mood, OthaSoul say: “‘That Mood’ is a track of joy, defiant in the face of what’s going on right now. It’s about self-love and self-esteem & rebellious act of being able to have a good time despite the world feeling like it’s crashing in on us. With Louis VI saying “My endz getting worse it’s perverse, see a higher percentage of the victims on curbs, this country feels cursed, with leaders that are too cheating to listen to our words.”
