Storyteller, singer, and social commentator Maverick Sabre debuts his first new music of 2020, in the shape of the lo-fi, laid back Don’t You Know By Now.
The reflective new single is taken from his upcoming summer EP project, and follows on from on from his personal, powerful and poignant 2019 album . When I Wake Up. Sabre’s unmistakable vocal, gravelly undertones and ability to depict and deliver powerful messages continue to shine and take center stage with Don’t You Know By Now, evoking emotion and depth through each piece of new music he puts his name against.
Speaking on the single, Maverick commented; “A song about the ending of a relationship knowing it’s over but ending it completely being easier said than done. What attachments, dependencies and feelings of obligations do we carry over from what we’ve been taught rather than what we learn. Are you in love/relationship for genuine love or is it the settling to norms that haven’t been questioned”
