From Leicester city to New York!

It sounds exactly like a traditional R&B and Hip Hop collaboration — that’s because it is! Mahalia, a soulful songstress from Leicester, has joined forces with American actor and rapper, Cam’ron. The original What You Did song, on Mahalia’s latest album, was a sweet exchange between herself and Ella Mai.

This remix has a Hip Hop twang to it. The track pays homage to Cam’ron by sampling his 2002 single, Oh Boy and, on the remix cover, the singer is pictured imitating Cam’ron’s viral picture.
