North London/Essex rapper Jordy has dropped off the music video for his recent single, ‘Too Much’, featuring Louis Rei. Directed by Shan Phearon, the video harks back to the golden age of music videos and the MTV era, playing up to the tropes with a monochromatic setting and nods to other iconic music videos.
Jordy and Louis Rei possess an undeniable chemistry, as the WSTRN member shines on the hook of the track while Jordy delivers two stellar verses. ‘Too Much’ is backed by the quality of the video, which contains references to widely recognised 00’s Hip-Hop videos including Kanye West’s ‘Gold Digger’, and ‘You Owe Me’ by Nas.
Jordy has enjoyed a year of progression after dropping a short EP at the start of the year. Since then, he has rose to prominence on the Filthy Fellas podcast whilst also developing his sound, earning recognition from US Rapper Russ along the way. With ‘The Love Ting’ mixtape on its way, Jordy will be hoping he can take over this summer as he delves deep into his previous relationships.
