Gospel grime rapper A-Star had his first headline show over the o2 Academy Islington on Sunday 17th April. ‘Revolutionary Live’. The Leytonstone basedrapper has been in the gospel scene for over 10 years now from being in a group and now establishing his own solo career.
This was definitely a huge milestone in his career seeing as many may not about the Gospel rap 7 grime scene. He’s been working hard to establish himself & also pushing the message of God through his music. He recently released his EP on iTunes ‘Revolutionary’ and performed some of these hits on the night.
He has an immense passion for the grime scene and this was definitely translated through his show. His impeccable flow and raw UK sound is what sets him apart from others. Performed with the likes of gospel veterans E Tizz, Triple O, Dwayne Tryumf, Icie and performed the live version of ‘TwoZeroOneSix’ ft Guvna B – which has over 10,000 views on Linkup TV!
A Star wishes that people gravitate to the music and respect the gospel rap scene; which he expresss thoroughly in his music. A Star is an extreme talent and definitely represents the UK rap sound through gospel!
