Etta Bond’s latest music video opens the eyes of many people to understand her message.

‘Seen and Never Heard’ explains the feelings of Etta referring to being a physical feature in a relationship without ever having a voice.

If you know anything about the theorist Laura Mulvey, then you should know about the ‘Male Gaze’. The male gaze is theory about how women are portrayed in the media, either through voyeurism or fetishism. Voyeurism portrays the women sexually through the eyes of a man without the women aware that she is being watched and fetishism portrays the women as a sexual decoration.

Etta Bond is saying that she refuses to be portrayed in a fetishistic way. Women of a level of class, who have goals and respect for themselves believe in this too. Being a feminist is not an easy job.
