A pioneer of Grime and UK Hip-Hop in general, Dizzee Rascal is set to release a deluxe edition of his Mercury Prize winning debut album ‘Boy In Da Corner’. The updated edition features 14 unreleased rare recordings of the rapper and is set to drop on the 21st of July, 20 years after the original album was released.
‘Boy In Da Corner’ has proven to be a seminal album in the history of UK Rap music, paving a way for Grime music to enter the mainstream and thus opening doors for the next generation of UK MCs. Tracks such as ‘Fix Up Look Sharp’ and ‘I Luv U’ catapulted Dizzee to stardom, becoming a household name across the country, achieving five number one singles in the process.
The latest version of his debut project has been teased with a visualiser of one of the new tracks, ‘Street Fighter’. Fans of the Grime genre will be excited to listen to previously unreleased collaborations with the likes of Wiley, D Double E, and Stormin. Having already achieved legendary status within his genre, Dizzee is showing that he maintains his relevance two decades after making his debut.
