Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has called upon one of the biggest stars in Hip-Hop, 21 Savage, for a new version of his recent single, ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’. The pair have undeniable chemistry as 21 Savage brings a new flavour to the track, complementing Burna’s performance on the hook perfectly.
The new single has been accompanied by a music video that leans into the 90’s feel of the track. Produced by Skread, this latest offering features a sample of Brandy and Mase’s ‘Top Of The World’, which was a global hit in 1998.
Burna Boy and 21 Savage are at the peak of their powers right now, with both artists dropping some of the biggest records of 2022. ‘Love, Damini’ cemented Burna as one of the greats of the Afrobeat genre, while 21 Savage’s ‘Her Loss’ collaboration with Drake has caused the rapper’s stock to rise exponentially. As both Burna and Savage reach the pinnacle of their respective careers, this collaboration will bring their audiences to a different sound, creating something fresh and vibrant with the help of an old school sample.
