Following his two year hiatus and recent release of “Cairo”, Aeris Roves has returned with the release of his highly anticipated single named, “Long Way Down”.
Influenced by the likes of The Drifters, Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Majid Jordan and more, Aeris Roves has formed his own distinct sound that borrows elements from various genres. Housing an acoustic-led production courtesy of long-term collaborator Two Inch Punch, “Long Way Down” is a nonchalant release that enables his soulful tone to sit at the forefront of the track.
Speaking on the single, Aeris commented, “It’s a song I wrote with frequent collaborator, Two Inch Punch. It started life as a very rough idea that we couldn’t quite finish and went through numerous reiterations. It looks at the idea of a breakdown in communication during a relationship and the process of realigning with a partner. It likens this feeling of rediscovery to the idea of the freefall.”
