Wretch 32 has this week stated in an interview with Red Carpet News TV that grime and pop music can complement each other and dubs Tinie’s Pass Out phenominal, innovative and groundbreaking.
He speaks on his own single Traktor and calls it a groundbreaking sound, and brings up Lethal Bizzle’s Pow, saying that it travelled out of the box for being different at the time.
The rapper says that collaborations between grime and pop artists can bring about a mass appeal and lead onto a commercial sound, which is much needed for the UK grime scene.
Do you agree with Wretch? Should grime and pop collaborations work or should grime artists stick to what they know?
