There were so many highlights this year in the UK Urban music industry Stefflon Don, Stormzy, ImJustBait, Ashley Thomas, Wiley MBE, J Hus, SL, Krept and Konan, Dave, Not3s, Fredo and the list can go on and on.
Austin at Spotify reported in October that streams of Grime music on Spotify had more than doubled as follows:
August 2016: 89 million
August 2017: 206 million
This figure may have omitted other forms of Urban music such as Drill, Afro beats, Afro Swing and anything in between.
