Back for another successful round, Music in Motion’s The Story So Far returned to its resident venue Strongroom Shoreditch for its monthly panel sit down.
Hosted by the amazing M Lavontelle, this months panel included TK (co-founder of Finesse Foreva) , Sarah Harrison (Rinse FM / Audiomack UK), Sir DJ Corey, Esta Rae (management for comedian Vee Brown) , celebrity hairstylist Miss Foster and U.S artist Translee of Hustle Gang.
It is safe to say that there was a lot to take in. Describing their journey in the music industry, each panelist was refreshingly blunt in their advice for the newcomers. Giving insight into maintaining a presence online, Esta explained, “People need to see that you are doing shit, thats just how society is now unfortunately”. This advice definitely came as a shock to those private folks (me) who hadn’t updated their instagram since 2021!
Sounds of the night were provided by DJ Ani Daya. A master of the decks, Ani kept every toe in that building tapping with her finger tips. Of course, the bonus of the night was the networking aspect. Nicely intimate in its layout, attendees were allowed to freely mingle and acquaint with one another.
Uniting some of the greatest professionals the UK has with those yearning to be in a similar position, Music In Motion have crafted every networker’s dream event!
