MOBO Awards 2015 (Highlights) [@MOBOAwards] [@kennyxphoenix]

a.k.e

AKE (often stylised as a.k.e; abbreviated as attack.kill.everything) is an English music producer, songwriter, entrepreneur, writer and fashion designer from Islington, North London. A.K.E started out making experimental beats influenced by grime, R&B/Soul, hip-hop, electronic music and later started adding his own raw yet poetic vocals. And has recently worked with artists/songwriters and producers such as Gain Ctrl founder Semothy Jones and upcoming artist Eduard Mullisi. Outside of recording and producing A.K.E is also currently working with companies such as Mixtape Madness and Radar Radio. He's also the founder and creative director of streetwear clothing company GOOF™ (Get Out Or Fight). His future goal is to become a pioneer in the creative industry by developing a brand new different sound and inspiring new upcoming creators in the world. This years 20th anniversary of the MOBO Awards was definitely a night to remember!!!

The show kicked off with an outstanding performance from Lethal Bizzle performing “Fester Skank” and his classic hit POW (Forward) while spitting his verse from POW 2011 with Face. Krept and Konan was announced Best Hip Hop Act for the second year running. They later went on to win Best Album for “The Long Way Home” beating heavyweight albums such as JME’s chart hit album Integrity>, Jamie xx’s critically acclaimed In Colour and Wiley’s Snakes And Ladders.

Stormzy who had an amazing night winning Best Grime Act for the second year and surprisingly won Best Male beating Krept and Konan, Skepta, Mark Ronson and JME. Section Boyz won Best Newcomer, their first MOBO award. Ella Eyre won her second MOBO for Best Female Act. Best Song went to Skepta who didn’t attend this year to accept the award, and FKA Twigs taking the Best Video gong for “Pendulum”.
